Author's Note: This piece is my prediction piece. I predicted the ending of the book, Buried Treasure. I decided that I want the book to end this way because Clarence Buchanan said to Cody Miller, "You best bury me with my treasure." I thought that Cody didn't seem like the type of boy who would steal something without feeling sad for what he did.
You best bury me with my treasure, "Why must these words keep replaying in my mind over and over again. I stole the hook, so what, Clarence has nothing on me anymore he is dead." Cody thought. "I know what I have to do and the deed will be done tomorrow morning. Boy am I going to be rich! I'll be the richest one here." he spoke to himself in the mirror, he figured this would calm him down. Cody glanced at the hook feeling many emotions, he grabbed his stomach feeling almost as if he were to puke. A strong force was pushing Cody down to the ground, still with the ache in his stomach.
"Wind, that's all it is Cody, you will be okay." Yes, the boy was right it was only wind; Cody had left the door open, but he was still scared he had no idea about the door. Screech, Cody heard this noise and got up, slowly starting to walk backwards out the door. Screech, this time Cody looked right at the hook, he knew what he had to do. "Sprint." Cody thought with the hook already in his hand. Through the forest, Cody sprinted."Midnight, was what the time had to be. There laid Clarence, hook-less. The hook was in Cody's hand. One last look at the gold-covered hook and Cody set the hook next to Clarence, burying him with his treasure. Chills went through Cody's body as he shivered. The boy sprinted away before anyone had a chance to see him.
