First Vacation to Florida

Author's Note: What if you were on your first trip ever to Orlando and your parents and you are sitting in first class? Would you be happy, excited, or both? Roy was all of those and even woke up early. Roy has never been to Orlando. He has been wanting to go there and now he is!

“BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!!” Roy’s alarm went off. It’s 6:30 A.M and Roy woke up excited because he was leaving for his trip to go to Orlando. The plane ride was at 8:30. Roy’s family wanted to be an hour early before the plane takes off. Roy gets dressed and he puts on blue jeans and a hoodie sweatshirt. Roy walks down the spiral stairs and makes a left to get to his kitchen. He gets the milk, a bowl, and Raisin Brain. He puts the cereal together and walks over to his table and starts eating. His mom sets the paper down and says, “Good morning Roy,” Roy’s mom replies and says, “Good morning Mom. When are we leaving for the airport?” Roy’s dad walks down the stairs and says in 20 min because the ride will take about 20 minutes and your Mom and I want to stop for coffee.” “Okay Dad, are we going to Starbucks?” asks Roy. “Yes, we will be going there” replies Roy’s dad. Roy finishes up his Raisin Brain and walks to the bathroom and brushes his teeth. Once, Roy finished brushing his teeth, he grabs his shoes and puts them on. “Roy, go get your suitcase. We are leaving in 5 minutes,” his mom called. Roy runs up to his room and grabs his suitcase. He walks down the stairs and hands his suitcase to his Dad. His Dad walks out the door and packs in in the car. The family gets into the car and heads off to Starbucks.

The family gets to Starbucks in about 10 minutes. Roy’s dad goes into Starbucks and walks back out holding two coffees. We are all set and our plane takes off in 1:20 minutes. They arrive at the the airport with about 1:05 until the plane takes off. Roy’s family gives the security their luggage and they start walking to security. His family gets through security and now there is 45 minutes until the plane takes off. They get their gate and sit down and now there is 35 minutes until the plane takes off. Roy gets out his D.S and plays on it until the attendant says, “The plane is now boarding.” Roy’s parents and him walk over and hand the attendant the plane tickets. Roy walks onto the plane and finds out he is sitting first class and so are his parents! In about 10 more minutes everyone is loaded and the pilot says, “We are about to take off so be buckled.” Roy fastens his seat belt. In 5 more minutes the plane takes off and Roy is even more excited than he was even this morning.
