One Direction

Author's Note: Your favorite band or artist can really have an influence on who you are or what you like. It could tell what makes you happy and many things about your life.  My favorite band is One Direction. I have decided to write about my favorite band because in writing circle we have chosen to write about that. 

They had one dream. They became one band. Now, they are One Direction. Harry Styles, the youngest one of the band who is 18, thought of the name after the X-Factor. The X-Factor is where their dreams began. Simon Cowell, their mentor, thought they were be better as a band then a solo so they became a group. Since, Simon Cowell thought of this, One Direction took 3rd place. The members of the band are Harry Styles,18, Niall Horan,19, Zayn Malik,19, Liam Payne,19, and Louis Tomlinson, 21. They are my absolute favorite band! They are from the United Kingdom but, still there songs are something that you can relate to. Tell Me a Lie is the one I can most relate to. I have been lied to and it hurts. In their song, they sing about how they have been lied to and that people are using them to get people jealous and they were hurt. I would hate to be used like that. I know that if I had not been introduced to this band from my good friend, Hannah Finnley, I don’t know what I would be doing right now. I listen to their album all the time, I watch their youtube videos a ton, and I am a Directioner forever. I may not be the most dedicated to this band, but that doesn’t mean I can’t love them just as everyone else does. I am still dedicated and they are my favorite band forever and always!
